Advanced DB Master has always been Year 2000 compliant. Dates are stored as Julian dates. If the date is formatted in a two-digit year is used in the format, current century is the default century. To eliminate any confusion, use a four-digit year in the format. Versions before 5.2/4.5 lack one area of Y2K compliance and that is in the Auto Date field type. It shows as a two-digit year and any searches for 1999 during the year 2000 will not be found. Version 5.2 and 4.5 are available to handle this problem. The version has Auto Dates as four digit years. Version 6.3 has the four digit Auto Date. Version 6.3 for Windows 98/NT/2000 is fully Y2K compliant. We have run many tests on our products for Y2K compliance. While we believe that all areas have been covered, we may have missed one. If you feel that we are out of compliance in an area, or have any question about Y2K, please call or email us. © Macon Systems, Inc. - all rights reserved. Last update was 12 December, 2003 |
